The GreenTree Project is pleased to announce that its first Licensed Professional Counselor has been approved by the Georgia Board of Professional Counselors.

Sarah Nichols, previously licensed in the State of Texas, received her counseling license from the board this week and will begin immediately working with children, families, couples, teams, and leaders and  in a variety of therapeutic settings including educational, non-profit, religious, and business environments.

The GreenTree Project provides funding counseling therapy for at-risk groups at their office and at The Retreat at Guidestone Hills in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia.

Sarah is Vice President and co-founder of The GreenTree Project and manages the recruitment, selection, training, and coordination of all personnel for the charity and the retreat.

The GreenTree Project was originally the idea of 7-year-old Madison Nichols after seeing the pain that her family experienced. She wanted to “start a company to help people get the help they need – even if they can’t pay for it.” So, with the help of my mom and dad, she launched The GreenTree Project in 2015. The work of The GreenTree Project is all about helping, supporting, and serving the next generation of leaders.

In October 2015, the Nichols family relocated from Dallas, Texas to Atlanta, Georgia. Atlanta is home to the world’s busiest airport which allows more people to easily access the nonprofit’s retreat center, The Retreat at Guidestone Hills. The Retreat is located just 20 miles from Atlanta Airport and is a strategic initiative of the charity funds leader development programs for children, students, non-profit, and ministry leaders.

With direct flight to 225 cities, the move streamlines travel for the GreenTree team both within the US and around the world.

 

 

This week The GreenTree Project released the design of the next building project which will be constructed at The Retreat at Guidestone Hills.

The building and elevation was designed and donated by Bryan Moore of DBA Architects in McKinney, TX. DBA Architects is a full service architecture, master planning, and interiors firm specializing in mixed-use projects all over the United States.

The GreenTree Project is an Atlanta-based nonprofit, founded by 9-year-old, Madison Nichols. The GreenTree team is excited about the having a great long-term design partner like DBA Architects.

The new villas will be built at The Retreat at Guidestone Hills, a initiative of the nonprofit to support leadership development for the next generation of leaders. Located just 23 miles from Atlanta airport, the Retreat is one of the most accessible retreat centers in the world.

The Villas at Guidestone Hills will feature fully accessible private guest accommodations thoughtfully located lakeside and in the wooded areas of the Retreat.

Distinguished, yet casual, The Villas will offer the utmost in comfort for individuals, groups, teams, and families. Each Villa will include two guest accommodations.

The guest accommodations include four master suites each with a well-appointed private bathroom, a reading area, and loft. The dining and living areas will also accommodate 10-40 for camps, retreats, meetings, and events.

DBA also designed and donated the master plan for The Retreat at Guidestone Hills.

This week, Gay Construction Company (Atlanta, GA) donated 2 vehicles to The GreenTree Project, an Atlanta-based nonprofit, founded by 9-year-old, Madison Nichols.

Gay Construction Company has been a family-owned and operated commercial construction company since 1948. For more than two generations, they have developed an excellent reputation in the construction industry as well as in Greater Metropolitan Atlanta.

The donated vehicles are in great condition and will be used in day-to-day operations at The Retreat at Guidestone Hills, an retreat center initiative of The GreenTree Project which funds leader development programs and events for the next generation of leaders.

Members of The GreenTree Project team met today in Carrollton, Georgia to close on the purchase of a 52-acre piece of property in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia. The property located at 12000 Hutcheson Ferry Road and formally known as Foxbrier Farm has served as a family equestrian farm for the past 15 years.

The new Retreat at Guidestone Hills will serve as an leadership development coaching and counseling retreat for the next generation of leaders. The purchase of the property was funded primarily by donations through The GreenTree Foundation, a nonprofit whose primary purpose is to fund programs, events, and training for the next generation of leaders.

Attending the closing were Dr. Michael Nichols, Chairman of The GreenTree Project, Rodney Agan, Director of Strategic Relations, and Paula Agan, Real Estate representative for The GreenTree Project. The property was purchased from Ralph Boe, Chief Executive Officer of Beaulieu Carpets of America, and his wife Nancy.

The GreenTree Project and The Retreat at Guidestone Hills are pleased to announce that 12 donors have provided more than $300,000 to purchase a 52-acre piece of property for a new leadership development retreat center in the Atlanta metro area. The Retreat at Guidestone Hills will provide training and resources for the next generation of leaders as well as offer a quiet, secluded place for leaders and their families to rest, relax, and reflect.

On January 12, The GreenTree Project secured a contract on a 52-acre property west of Atlanta, Georgia. The team is currently conducting a feasibility study and is scheduled to close on the purchase of the property by March 31.

The future retreat will serve as the world’s most accessible inclusive retreat destination specifically designed to help future leaders live with passion and lead with purpose.

Charter Bank (West Point, GA) has partnered with The GreenTree Project an Atlanta-based nonprofit, to provide funding for The Retreat at Guidestone Hills. The Retreat is an leadership development initiative funded by the nonprofit to support and resource the next generation of leaders.

Charter Bank was founded in 1954 to help people with affordable financing for purchasing their home. For generations, they have developed an excellent reputation in local communities throughout the Southeast.

In February, Dr. Michael Nichols and Dr. Rodney Agan presented The Retreat at Guidestone Hills project to more than 200 church leaders from around the country at the XPastor Conference in Dallas, Texas.

This week, John and Christi Wynn provided the lead gift for the new Retreat at Guidestone Hills. John and Christi have served as missionaries in the Philippines for nearly 20 years. Today, their ministry includes a day school, a college, a regional camp, and churches throughout the Philippines and in several Asian countries.
